Thank-you very much for posting this project. I did this my homeschooling art class when were learning about Eadweard Muybridge, the first photographer to captured images in speeds fast enough to show the individual motion of a horse running. This was great project, and kids had so much fun making their own cartoons to add in their zoetropes. Thanks again,
Brandy

I enjoyed working on the rocket kit. Elmer's Craft Bond is good for treating the corners of the bellows on the rocket kit to make them more durable--this glue is very flexible when dry. The nose cone needs a slight bit of weight to move the center of gravity forward for stable coasting. I used 1 cm of fine electronics solder, which I coiled up and glued inside the tip. Only a small amount of ballast is needed to make the rocket stable--about the weight of a small shirt collar button.

Thanks for sharing these fun activities!

I made your zoetrope and loved it. But wouldn't it work better if the colors were slightly different, with the outside all black and the inside all white? I made the bottom section of the outside black and it was much easier to focus on the picture inside. Thanks for all the inspiration!

ich etwas blau war, aber du bist echt der EINZIGE,
der das mit der Bratpfanne erraten hat! falls Du das
wirklich nicht gekannt haben solltest, verneige ich
mich nochmals vor Deiner Intelligenz! Ich habe
gesehen, Du entwickelst Ramspeichermodule,
hierzu ne Frage: ich habe nen G4 POWERMAC, was
brauche ich denn da genau für RAM-Dinger? Hab
jetzt 512 MB, möchte aber gerne erweitern, kannst
Du mir da weiterhelfen? Ich bin nämlich auf diesem
Gebiet nicht sehr bewandert, wie der Allgäuer so
schön sagt: OHNE HIRA (Hirn) BISCH HALT WIE A
WEIB! In diesem Sinne viel Erfolg weiterhin, zeig den
Germanisten, wo die Bratpfanne hängt! Würde mich
freuen von Dir zu hören! Gruss AXEL

Built one. Grandkid's loved it. Had two build two more to keep the peace. Extrememly rugged...nearly boy-proof. A little complex for kid's to build, but they catch on to the techniques for high flights right away. Thanks for a wonderful toy.

Dude, your zoetrope sucks. I can't get it to work. My entire class did zoetropes for a project, and no one could get it to work. With 15 people trying it and failing, that's pretty bad. I recommend you improve the model.

Lieber Georg,
